Replacing your home’s siding can improve its appearance, weather protection, and long-term durability. When energy-efficient insulated siding is part of the project, Michigan Saves financing may provide a practical way to manage the cost without paying the entire project amount upfront.
Manageable monthly payments
Michigan Saves works with participating Michigan credit unions to provide financing for qualifying home-energy improvements. Available programs may offer competitive fixed interest rates and extended repayment terms, allowing eligible homeowners to spread the project cost across manageable monthly payments.
Some current lender programs offer repayment terms of up to 15 years. There are also no annual fees or penalties for paying the loan off early. Actual rates, loan amounts, and terms depend on the lender, current market conditions, and the applicant’s creditworthiness.
Financing for qualifying insulated siding
Michigan Saves currently identifies insulated vinyl siding with an integrated insulation value of at least R-3 as an eligible home-energy improvement. Other related improvements may also qualify when they are necessary to complete an approved energy-efficiency project.
